Slacking Off

Many people see the younger generation as lazier versions of themselves since they have only known the world with all of its new and convenient inventions. They couldn’t even imagine a world without Internet and the ability to chat. That is why it shouldn’t be a surprise that many teenagers are misspelling words, leaving out capital letters, and using shortcuts such as BTW (by the way) and emoticons like smileys in their assignments. They have gotten so used to doing so during their chat sessions that it is an instinct to do the same at school.
